*** Convergence Conclave Dispersion Log – Lowan Darkseer – MYSTIC***

I spoke with him, face-to-face. His eyes were undimmed and piercing despite his age. His step was firm. A low but dazzling flame danced around his form as I led him to the hollow at the core of the convergence conclave. He did not cry, nor plead, nor fight as the dispersion tank was closed around him and the machines hummed into a preparatory silence. There was no fear in his eyes. He even smiled at me as he said, “May the Flame forgive, if so he pleases.” I reached out to him, not knowing why.

I share his last words knowing they condemn me as well, but that a man prepared to die would still pen them, to spread them. Is something here? What secret do the Deathslayer Diaries hold?

The dispersion tank bloomed in dark devouring falselight, removing the photonic energy from every cell in Lowan’s body – I call him Lowan now… I too will soon be only a name, but his words will burn on. An odd fire covers me now – but it does not feel so frightening.

***Convergence Conclave Command Directive***

Final transmission of MYSTIC must be suppressed. His cunning usage of archaic writing and aid from traitorous elements has managed to bypass certain protections, but with diligence all can be erased. There will be no further discussion or pursuit of information from either ANCIENT or MYSTIC under penalty of dispersion. Former RJ4 Marceus has been stripped of all rank, clearance, and is scheduled for expiration. All references to any items directed or released by Marceus will be considered an act of treason and dealt with by expiration.
