Introduction
The recipient of the following chain email correspondence shares them at great personal risk. Due to a server sorting error, the correspondence of the infernal realms – just as capable apparently as any earthly bureaucracy – appears to have arrived in a spam inbox of one as yet unnamed member of the mortal race – me. The references to Screwtape and Wormwood make me think that it is perhaps a continuation of previous discussion set forth by one illustrious C.S. Lewis, but I cannot be sure. The discussions appear to be at a less personal level than those of Screwtape, but I will leave to your discretion the focus and intent of these things. And, sadly, they have come to one far less equipped to handle their translations and nuances well than Lewis was. Still, I consider it a duty to share in order to ward us from some enemy’s schemes and in hopes that others may add their insights to our approach in response and understanding.
What the ultimate purpose of OPERATION LETHE’S DELUGE is can only be the total annihilation of the Christian church, though there are as many questions as answers in these few letters that have been leaked thus far.
As Lewis did, I must warn that the denizens of Hell are not to be trusted. You will see how they delight in deception momentarily, but that does not mean that we ought not glean some information from behind the enemy lines. The machinations of the spiritual world must be assessed with great care and constant watchfulness. Where possible I will append direct quotation from God’s Scripture either to affirm or refute the ideas presented in these letters. Since the logic of the underworld is an admixture of pure falsehood and facsimiles of truth, it is the only way I could, in good conscience, present the information at all. The danger without such interruptions is that we confuse what is really true from what is posed as true by the diabolical intellect held herein. As Lewis recognized, the logic of hell makes black white, up down, and good evil. But it is not as simple as pure inversion, as you will soon see.
Why then share this at all? Simple. To fight in spiritual battle is to contend with powerful adversaries – both within and without. We must know what we face, not that we go so far as to sin like the Gnostics once did, but rather that we may know how the enemy fights in order to counter him. Blessedly, we have true victory already in Christ who is our rock and our redeemer. Whatever the presentation below may seem to indicate, we must guard against the notion that the great serpent the devil is on equal standing with our God. Certainly Yahweh is higher by far, so high in fact that when the enemy of our souls is cast from heaven in Revelation, it is Michael who casts him out. Angels and demons may contend against one another in a kind of parity, but there is no parity to our God. He is unique, almighty, and entirely without equal.
It is my firm hope that what arises from these pages equips you to better guard against the fiery darts of the evil one, and that we come together as One Body in Christ, rooted in the Word of God, and committed first and foremost to His eternal glory.
Devotedly and Humbly Yours,
Soli Deo Gloria

Your malefic magnificence,
Preparations are complete and in execution to disturb the upcoming assembly of churches in the west. Conventions such as these are places ripe for ruinous rampage testing our methods. Already the arguments are outlaid, assumptions placed, and distractions of hundreds of types in place. The leaders and captains of our Enemy’s wretched church bodies are being twisted and tangled in titillatingly tiresome rants based on silly things like “autonomy” and “growth.” Do not berate me too much for using such old methods as these when they are so poisonously fruitful to our causes.
Adding to the basics of the Cult of Freedom which we have been cultivating carefully over the whole lifespan of this young kingdom, Nothros has excellently included a strain of slothful yet seemingly prudent ideology that the various parties ought to simply agree to disagree. How delightfully wicked, Nothros has been in this, though I loathe to praise him, wastrel as he is. It is not even over rote opinion that he has managed this, but rather on issues of the disgusting text that our Enemy gave his children. How beautifully broken, as we discussed previously, to attack the words of our Enemy. We attack it now via the oblique maneuver making one claim that his only authority is the Bible when he refuses to engage in critical debate which submits to the same text rather claiming that the strength of their loose collection of churches is that they may freely disagree on interpretation of that same Word. Lip service, the loveliest of service to our Great Father Below who feasts on lies, is what we are producing by this stroke of genius.
Hatefully I admit, that compared to this, my own meager additions are barely subtractions, but at least some among the leaders believe that it is by size they measure the eternal success of their respective actions. This is my contribution to quality conundrums. Many of my underlings have pushed and pressed on every side the notion that size and growth and numbers are the right measure of the might of a ministry. Oh the monstrosities we have made which leave many of the Enemy’s sheep untended and unprotected for our gnashing teeth to devour. More, how many wolves have we already slipped in among them? To say they are beyond counting is a lie, but we delight in lies so let it be. And, though I grate my teeth at this final praise for Nothros, his furtherance of distance in these flesh sack sheep from the source of knowledge in the Enemy’s Word further obfuscates our wolves who can only be known by their fruits, which are hidden or even praised in gatherings which exhort human plurality and consensus instead of strict, passionate pursuit of disgusting truth.
Our wolves grow fat indeed, and everything is set for the coming convention. We must be on guard against the Enemy’s Spirit, though, which will certainly aid His wretched workmen even in their follies and foibles. We require disastrous diligence to delude them properly and finally to their ultimate destruction.
Ungratefully and cursedly yours,

Boss,
As always, you have a snack or two for us. The unreasonableness seeded by Our Father, that Ergon talked about is. Well its important, I guess, to my work. I have been inducing them to slovenliness, undiscipline, and comfort. They spend immense time in hypnotic trances in front of their machine screens. Little or no thought is left to them. They are content to be told what to believe and when and why, never to be uncomfortable in thought. It is easy to shortcut them to stop thinking the moment it gets rough.
Ergon’s unreasonable philosophies muddy the average person enough that they think it just isn’t worth the bother. Let other people be uncomfortable on their behalf. And, as comfort increases in every area, the more unreasonable the Enemy’s real demands seem. They cut down sermons to time, shorten songs, create entertainment and fill their churches with material fog where there is no cloud of the Enemy’s presence. It is quite a sight. Certainly it would be too much for the Enemy to ask for an undivided hour, much less a day, and certainly never a whole life. If my projects are successful, they will have barely minutes of attention to spend on the Enemy’s purposes. The more comfortable and distracted they become, the less able they are to even want to meet the Enemy’s presence.
That’s the only one I see. Not worth spreading myself thin when this comfort focus is bearing such incredibly poisonous fruit. It’s coming to the point we hardly have to distract them at all – they do it all themselves.
Fears,
Nothros
Letter 3
Chief Tempters Nothros and Ergon,
Individual losses like those of the patient of one Wormwood under the tutelage of the once esteemed Screwtape do not concern me overmuch. For each such case your methods in the Western kingdoms slay hundreds (in some cases thousands) more and commit their souls to the fire. I must adjure you not to be lax in the execution of your duties. Your dual powers are generators of great instability and your works have gone forth to undermine not only individuals like our lower tempters, but whole families as well as whole churches. It is through your careful attention to the presentation of ideas that future temptations will be catalogued not in terms of individual souls but in terms of entire nations of peoples. But we have long to go until such is the case. Continue to work your bi-directional attacks and erode collective and individual capacities for truth – a great adversary indeed.
You know of course your duties, but I would be remiss if I did not remind you, as your reports of late have been lax. Nothros especially. Your powers are great, but be careful that you do not fall sway to your own inclinations. Still, I do not seek to reprimand you. Both of you were my pupils so many aeons ago, and I am somewhat proud of the forms you have taken and your victories. Proud but with the shifting disdain of anything that may reflect poorly on myself, hence this letter of reminder.
The larger culture is firmly within our grasp on its way to a slow decay and the comfortable destruction delicious to our senses. Still, there is much we can do better to undermine the Enemy’s dastardly churches – hotbeds of his activity and strength. We must equip and send forth willing and unwilling saboteurs into their midst. It is never enough to be content with our lot, but we must always wound and mar the imagers of that horrendous Enemy. To that end, consider Our Father Below in his most basic employment. Remember those accursed forbearers of the sacks of meat. Ish and Ishaa, Adam and Eve. Do you recall how it was Our Great Father distorted them into succulent rebellion? Grant your old mentor a time of pedantry, and you will benefit.
He slyly entered, guised as a serpent, transformed, already lying in his very form as to his nature. What delightful savagery, lies within lies. And the mortals are given to only perceive the surface of things. Then he slithered to the woman, oh yes the woman. Not the man, not the one who had heard directly from the mouth of our Enemy. No, Our Father Below dared not address the one who was taught directly from God but rather show himself to the one who learned it second hand. Our Great Father capitalized on this additional layer of mediation to sow discord. He knew that the man had misquoted God, made more stringent God’s rules to his wife. [Interim note: The Biblical text neither confirms nor denies Pseudoparaklesis’ assertion that Adam taught Eve wrongly what God had said. It is at least possible, but would be dangerous to take for fact.] No, he addressed the woman. “Did God really say?” What a perfect question. Do you not see, my pupils, how catching, how profuse with doubt is this inquiry, how it seeds the disbelief in every direction? Here is where you ought to work in the expansion of false churches which are to us a great victory as they defame the Enemy by bearing his wretched standard yet demonstrating us in every way. The false flag carriers are delightfully destructive.
Make them ask this question of everything, doubt the words they have been given. What a blow to us is that insufferable text, controlled and guided and living as it is through the Enemy’s Spirit. What a fearful thing those words are to us, but if we can get the skinbags to doubt it, or ignore it outright, then we can twist and distort and destroy with beautiful impunity. Remember your earliest lessons. It is not the outright lie that convinces, but the lie veiled with a facsimile of truth. Seed this doubt everywhere.
In your next report I want each of you to give two ways in which Our Father Below seeded doubt with his first temptation. Detail your methods in your next assault, or methods already employed. I await impatiently as always.
Without Respect,

Letter 4
Lowerarch Pseudoparaklesis,
Your eminent disgust, your baffling beatific Beelzebub,
Thank you for your insights and condescension to teach such worms as we. Our Father Below was certainly right to grant upon you not one, not two, but three Beguilement Awards of the lowest order during your tenure at the Advanced Tempters University.
The event in question is, as you say, ripe with fresh fruits of tormented truth. Not only does this question make men doubt the Word of our Enemy, it simultaneously makes them doubt themselves. To quote the Enemy’s text – out of context as is our method and manner so as not to blaspheme the Great Father Below – “He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden?’” What a profound thing this is. He has misquoted the Enemy, beautifully so. For misquotation is our way, or half-quotation. By doing so, he casts doubt on whether the woman really understood. And the Great Father knows, of course, that the woman never actually heard God at all. She was told by the wretched man! What suspicion may have already existed in her mind at this distance between the source and herself we can only guess, but I shall guess that it was deep seeded and sprouted into flowering by Our Father’s question.
But I digress in this. You have asked that we give two ways, yet I have given one. The second is this, that the question assaults the character of our Enemy. It is not enough to doubt His word, but the human must also be tempted to question His character as well. And that we see in the expansion of the prohibition misquoted so marvelously by Our Father. You shall not eat of any tree in the garden! How unreasonable this must have seemed to the woman, though she knows it is not true, there is now that beautiful arising of suspicion which often creates that which it suspects (as one Screwtape did indeed say). If at once we can get the humans to believe that they have a good grasp on what the Enemy would and would not say – not based in His wretched words but in their own misjudgement of His character – we have won already.
Two deep seated methods I have incorporated into the fibers of this society to work towards these ends already. The first is what the humans call the skeptical school of thought which I have taken to further extreme even than our unwitting ally Hume ever anticipated. Where he sought some level of doubt in processes of truthful inquiry in knowledge, I have driven the purpose of doubt down to the very core of all being. I have made doubt fashionable. It is now lauded as praiseworthy to be ever in doubt and “open-minded.” They call it post-modernism and post-truth. How better to get men and women to doubt themselves than to make clear that the whole world is full of naught but doubt, and this not to be answered but to be embraced as some false truth in and of itself. From these schools have grown constructivism and cultural relativism, and into the Enemy’s very churches we have infiltrated members who now apply these views to diabolical interpretations of Scripture under the guise of ecumenicalism. I will draw up a fuller report of these in future correspondence.
The second that I have incorporated, with of course, wonderful additional uses to my fellow Nothros, is the expansion of a so-called love theology. This theology uses the emotional romantic understandings of love which we have been seeding for centuries and has produced a delightful and somewhat unexpected fruit – vehement, committed, kindly, outwardly “good,” tireless workers for inclusion on the basis of man’s own judgement of what love is. One need only look at a simple statement so common among churchgoers who are thankfully among our stock. “God wouldn’t do that. It’s not loving.” You see at once, my mentor, how this poises each who says it for all kinds of pride and demonstrates it too. As if a human could comprehend his wretched love. I will not contend to explain or understand whatever it really is, but we have made them passers of judgment against the Enemy, elevating their own puny understandings above His. From that station they are little open to the real Enemy, and instead serve a fabricated one. I attended many services at such “churches” and found not even the tiniest fraction of the impermeable presence of our Enemy in their midst [Note: the omnipresence of God is not limited by the poor perceptions of demonic forces or the poorer perceptions of men. Whether or not His presence is felt or perceived He is present with His people] – yet so sure they are and ecstatically on their way to hell. They are successfully inoculated to the Enemy’s gospel weaponry.
With great deference and glad destruction,
Ergon
